About the club
What is Ashland Town FC?
A community-rooted soccer club in Ashland, Virginia. We run competitive travel teams, a boys academy team, winter futsal, beach soccer in the summer and a PRO23 squad — with U6 and U8 grassroots arriving in Spring 2027.
What teams do you have this season?
The 2026–27 season is underway with boys travel teams at U9, U10, U11 and U12, a U9/U10 girls travel team, and a boys U13 academy team.
What leagues do your teams play in?
All of our U9 through U12 teams play in the Advanced Development Soccer League. Our boys U13 academy team plays in the UPSL Academy DMV Conference.
How many tournaments do teams play?
Our travel teams play two to four tournaments a year on top of their league season.
Where do you play?
Poor Farm Park in Ashland is our home field across every age group. It has lighted Bermuda grass fields, and teams use Field 1 and Field 2 depending on age group.
Do you have girls teams?
Yes — we field a U9/U10 girls travel team this season, and we are working to expand the girls program. Get in touch if your daughter is outside that age range and we will tell you what we can do.
Do I have to live in Ashland?
No. The club is rooted in Ashland and Hanover County and we give preference to local players, but we welcome serious players from the broader region.
Tryouts and joining
Can we still join this season?
The 2026–27 season is underway, but we hold supplemental tryouts through the year for age groups with roster openings. Email us and we will tell you what is available right now.
When are tryouts?
The main window is our annual tryout each May. Supplemental sessions run through the year as roster spots open up.
Does my player need experience?
We work with all skill levels. Beginners typically start in our grassroots programming, while more experienced players tend to enjoy our competitive teams across the outdoor and futsal seasons.
Our Academy program is a step beyond that — it is for highly experienced players who are trying to play at the highest levels possible.
Fees and uniforms
What does it cost?
The annual fee is $1,500 for Fall/Spring membership. Futsal is $400 for the winter season.
What does the uniform kit cost?
The kit for Fall 2026 through Spring 2028 is $225, ordered through our team store at soccer.com. It is purchased separately from the membership fee and lasts two seasons.
Is there extra training available?
Yes — we offer add-on skills training as an extra weekly training session on top of your team's regular schedule. Email us for current days and pricing.
Can we pay monthly?
Yes. Monthly payment plans are available — ask when you register and we will set it up from the start.
Is financial aid available?
Yes, by request. Applying has no bearing on player evaluation or selection, and enquiries are handled confidentially by the club director.
